Dr. Ian Pearson
D.M.D.
Dr. Ian Pearson is a board-certified periodontist who specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease, hard and soft tissue augmentation, and dental implant surgery. Dr. Pearson’s kind, relatable nature along with his excellent diagnostic skills allows him to develop a personalized approach to patient-centered care. Furthermore, he combines superb technical skills with the latest methods and dental technologies including IV sedation, autologous growth factors and laser therapy to minimize discomfort while maximizing post-surgical results.
Dr. Pearson was born and raised in Northern Virginia before receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from University of California, Los Angeles. He then attended University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and was awarded a D.M.D. degree cum laude. During his training at UNLV, his passion to understand the foundation of oral health drove him to pursue a specialty in periodontics and dental implantology at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, where he graduated as chief resident. Currently, Dr. Pearson is a part-time clinical instructor at UCLA School of Dentistry and lecturer at the West LA VA Medical Center.
Outside of work Dr. Pearson is a coffee/espresso enthusiast, beginner guitarist, and film photography hobbyist. On the weekends he likes to hike around the greater Los Angeles area, play tennis or golf.
